The GAP on Graham Inc is a not-for-profit organisation that has been established for the youth of Melton. The GAP has generously received seed funding from the Melton Country Club in partnership with Essendon Football Club.
Our target age group ranges from twelve to twenty five year olds. Our primary aims are to provide a safe venue that engourages young people to engage in positive recreation, reduce crime, harm prevention, foster community relationships and build social cohesion.
The GAP is equipped with a boxing gymnasium and boxing ring to encourage and promote the values of personal fitness and self disipline. We also provide entertainment spaces, complete with play stations and WII's, a cafe area, meeting and training space and a workshop area.
The Youth Centre is staffed by volunteers that have worked tirelessly to ensure that this project works. We have strong community links and support from Melton Police, The Lions Club of Melton, The Rotary Club of Melton Valley, Melton Mens Shed, Zonta Club of Melton and CWA Melton Owls. This facility is one that is very much needed and will have a long and positive impact on the youth of Melton.
